The President extended congratulations to Finland’s President on Independence Day

Monday, December 6, Vilnius - President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė congratulated Finland's President Tarja Kaarina Halonen on the national holiday, the Independence Day.

"Today Finland is among Lithuania's most important and reliable partners and friends. Our contacts over the past several years have reinforced my conviction that Lithuania and Finland have an excellent opportunity to further enhance the dialogue on all issues of significance to our both nations and to contribute in a considerable way to achieving the objectives important for our region and the whole of Europe," the President wrote in the letter of congratulations.
