Press ReleasesThe President and Commissioner Piebalgs discussed development cooperation Friday, November 12, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė received Andris Piebalgs, European Commissioner for Development, who has come to Vilnius to participate in an international conference, "Road to successful transition in Afghanistan", held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
During their meeting, the President and the Commissioner exchanged views on the EU development cooperation policy, Europe's financial assistance to third countries and mechanisms of providing such support. President Grybauskaitė also spoke about Lithuania's participation in the international mission in Afghanistan.
