Dalia Grybauskaitė congratulated new leader of Switzerland

Thursday, December 15, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė extended congratulations to the newly elected President of the Swiss Confederation, Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf, and wished her the best of success in discharging the important and responsible duties of her position.

"It was exactly twenty years ago that Switzerland recognized Lithuania's reestablished independence, thus making a significant contribution to our country's rapid and successful integration into the international community of nations. I therefore strongly hope that we will continue strengthening close relations between our two countries and their people in the years ahead and that new business, economic and other initiatives will further enrich our cooperation," Dalia Grybauskaitė wrote in her message of congratulations.
