Dalia Grybauskaitė congratulated French President on Bastille Day

Saturday, July 14, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė extended congratulations to President François Hollande of France on Bastille Day.

"For many years now Lithuania and France have enjoyed deep and friendly relations in all political, economic and cultural areas, with no exceptions. The partnership agreements signed several years ago have further enhanced our bilateral contacts, opening the door to an even closer dialogue between Lithuania and France on Europe's future, common security and other key issues. Lithuania's forthcoming presidency of the European Union will serve as an excellent opportunity to turn it into new ideas and practical cooperation initiatives," the President wrote in her message of congratulations.

On behalf of the Lithuanian people and on her own behalf, President Dalia Grybauskaitė I wished the French leader and his country happiness and prosperity.
