Dalia Grybauskaitė congratulated Bulgarian President on national holiday

Wednesday, March 3, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė extended congratulations to President Georgi Parvanov on Bulgaria's national holiday - Liberation Day.

"Lithuania's and Bulgaria's similar historical pathways, marked by continuous fights for freedom and independence, have led our two countries to adopt a similar outlook on many topical issues. Our common interests, including energy security and the deepening of economic, political and cultural ties with partners in the European Union, also promote closer bilateral cooperation. I firmly believe that better knowledge and understanding of each other as well as consistent exchange of experience will serve for the good of our nations," the President wrote in her message of congratulations.
