President Dalia Grybauskaitė is attending the Nuclear Security Summit in The Hague. On the first day of the Summit, the President took part in discussions on how to ensure global nuclear security and safety. She also talked to President Barack Obama about safeguarding regional security in the Baltic States and the situation in Ukraine.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė is attending the European Council meeting to discuss further actions to be taken by the European Union to stabilize the situation in Ukraine. Among the other issues on the agenda is the state of the European economy and ways to boost EU competitiveness.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė is attending an extraordinary meeting of the European Council where the situation in Ukraine is being discussed. In Brussels, the heads of state or government of the 28 EU member states and Ukraine's Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk debated the EU's concrete support for Ukraine to stabilize the situation in the country and exchanged views on the security of the whole of Europe and potential measures to strengthen it.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė attended the naming ceremony of the vessel for the Klaipėda liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in South Korean city Ulsan. The LNG storage vessel was built for Lithuania in South Korea by Norwegian company Höegh LNG in association with the local company Hyundai Heavy Industries.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė met with President Sauli Niinistö of Finland in Helsinki en route to South Korea. The meeting was held at the invitation of the Finnish President.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė, currently on a working visit to Germany at the invitation of Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, visited the Lithuanian February 16 High School in the town of Hüttenfeld. It is a unique Lithuanian school and one of the most prominent Lithuanian hubs in the world. Lithuanians from Germany as well as other countries study here.

In Strasbourg, President Dalia Grybauskaitė met with European Parliament President Martin Schulz and presented the results of Lithuania's Presidency of the Council of the European Union at a plenary session of the European Parliament.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė participated in the closing cultural event of Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union - audio-visual performance "Sandglasses" by composer Justė Janulytė which took place at the Flagey Art Centre in Brussels. Lithuanian culture and art were distinctly presented in Europe and beyond during the past six months - almost 500 cultural events have been held, four Lithuanian exhibitions toured 15 countries.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė is symbolically handing over the helm of the Council of the European Union to Greek President Karolos Papoulias and Prime Minister Antonis Samaras. Greece will officially start presiding over the EU Council on 1 January 2014.
