Christmas Greetings from President Dalia Grybauskaitė

Dear Fellow People of Lithuania,

Today, we have joined together at Christmas Eve dinner for an evening of joy and happiness. We are surrounded by the warmth of our family and friends and we remember those who are no longer with us. We share the best that we have and we wish each other love and peace.

For many of us, this year has been filled with challenges. But at the same time, it has given us many meaningful moments, unique and invaluable experience. Patience, wisdom and the support of our loved ones encouraged us to persevere through the many obstacles.

May the spirit of community, commitment and compassion guide us in all that we do. Let us be more understanding and considerate. Let us cherish our togetherness.

Let us find the courage to be sincere in our words and resolute in our actions.

May Christmas morning bring a new beginning of hope and promise that will lead us to good deeds, inspiring thoughts and expectations.
